Brittany Butler is a Facilitator with the Message, serving grade 8-12 students in Message Academy. She is also a digital creator and viral Pop/R&B/Jazz singer-songwriter/musician. A multimedia maven, she brings her creative and critical thinking skills to the classroom helping learners bridge the gap between media literacy theory and real-world, every day, practice. Brittany’s journey began with her posting cover and original songs to her YouTube channel back in 2007 and has since amassed over 100k subscribers. She has won and competed in various local and national singing competitions over the years, most notably competing as a member of Team Pharrell on Season 7 of NBC’s The Voice. She also won the Amy Winehouse Foundation’s worldwide #BackToBlack10 cover contest. Brittany has since launched two successful podcasts, Even Stevens Ranked and Titanic by Scene, garnering thousands of listeners and viewers monthly. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Brittany released her debut self-titled EP in July 2018, available on all streaming platforms.
